About Mandi
Proud Lady Tattooist
I knew by the third grade that I wanted to draw for a living. I had no idea what that career path would look like, and never dreamed this is where I would end up.
People from high school remember me as the girl who always carried her sketchbook. My mother would beg me to leave it behind when we went out, and I recall many nights getting caught with a flashlight under my blanket drawing well past bedtime.
In 2007 I decided to look into tattooing on the suggestion of a friend. It honestly had never occurred to me. I got a portfolio together and sought an apprenticeship, expecting it to be something to just get me through college. I had no idea that I was stumbling into what would become my life’s passion.
In 2009 I began tattooing professionally, but a few years later left the industry to have my son. It wasn’t until my best friend, also a tattoo artist, called me up in 2014 to let me know that he was opening a shop and wanted me to work for him, that my career truly began.
Since working at Empire, tattooing has evolved into so much more than a job. I spend countless hours a week drawing tattoos, and even when I am away from the studio it’s always on my mind. I love what I do and am so grateful to be able to support my family doing it.
I appreciate so much the faith each of my clients put in me. Thanks to your support I am truly able to live my dream.
